Responsibilities:
Provide entry and/or junior level field and technical support on environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects, primarily in the areas related to geology, hydrogeology, and data interpretation/ visualization. Under general supervision, plans, conducts, and supervises tasks such as fieldwork, sampling, design, construction oversight, operations, and maintenance (O&M), and report writing on environmental and engineering projects. Performs projects in accordance with RCRA, CERCLA, UST, CWA and other appropriate state and federal regulations. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Interprets and applies organization policy. Reviews progress with management. Prepares, develops, and assists in the preparation of proposals and qualification statements.
Candidate is responsible for leading the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of GIS data in accordance with the requirements of various projects acquired or assigned by Tetra Tech’s public/private/federal clients. Candidates must be knowledgeable with ESRI's software products.
This position requires the employee to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a geosciences-related field required, Master’s degree (MS/MA) and/or hydrogeology-related academic experience preferred;
1-3 years directly related professional experience and/or training also preferred.

Perform field investigation and construction oversight that could potentially require the following: Performing strenuous fieldwork under a variety of site and adverse weather conditions; standing, crouching and sitting to facilitate operation of the equipment and collecting samples; moving earth via shovels or hand augers; lifting of pumps, other remediation equipment, cases containing equipment, sample coolers and other items weighing between 1 and 50 pounds; and potential exposure to natural (e.g., poison ivy, heat/cold), physical and chemical hazards.

Mathematical Skills: Candidates must be competent in the mathematical skills required for successful completion of their degree. Candidates must be able to apply their math skills as required in the office and field to perform their required duties.
Other Skills: Candidate must be able to use Microsoft Windows – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
AutoCAD, Surfer, gINT, and LogPlot are a plus.
