Environmental Administrative Assistant

Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support to our team by managing office tasks, coordinating schedules, and assisting with documentation and compliance-related activities. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has an interest in environmental work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to staff and management
  • Answer phones, manage emails, and handle correspondence
  • Maintain organized records and filing systems (digital and physical)
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and project timelines
  • Prepare reports, forms, and documentation as needed
  • Support compliance documentation and regulatory paperwork
  • Order office supplies and assist with day-to-day office operations
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll entry

Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative or office experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Environmental industry or DEC (Department of Environmental Conservation) experience is a plus

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
