Environmental and Social Governance Manager

We are looking for a dedicated ESG Manager to join our Sustainability and HSEQ Department at Çalık Renewables. The ideal candidate will ensure the implementation and monitoring of all Environmental and Social Governance aspects in alignment with IFC Performance Standards, the Equator Principles, and Çalık Renewables’ internal policies.

Key Responsibilities;

• Integrate ESG principles into project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure long-term sustainability.

• Ensure compliance with international ESG standards across renewable energy projects.

• Develop and monitor Livelihood Restoration Plans and a Grievance Redress Mechanism (GRM).

• Identify ESG risks, conduct assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Lead stakeholder engagement, including employees, local communities, and financial institutions.

• Support the ESG performance monitoring process and report on key indicators (KPIs).

• Assess the environmental and social impact of projects, including energy efficiency, emissions, and sustainable procurement.

• Prepare ESG-related documentation and disclosures for internal and external use.

• Monitor evolving ESG-related legislation and ensure corporate compliance.

• Collaborate with internal sustainability, legal, and project teams to align ESG strategy.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of company ESG policies and frameworks.

• Support the implementation of climate risk analysis and scenario planning.

• Lead or assist with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certification processes.

Key Requirements;

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental science, management, engineering, or related fields.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in ESG and climate risk in emerging and developing markets.

• Strong knowledge of ESG risk assessment methodologies and standards.

• Experience with infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

• Familiarity with concession agreements, PPAs, EPCs, and O&M contracts.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Fluent in English, with strong writing and presentation abilities.

• Proactive, analytical, and highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Experience with data management and ESG reporting tools.
