About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to oversee and implement environmental management systems (EMS14001) across construction and landscape projects. This role ensures compliance with environmental regulations, promotes sustainable practices, and leads initiatives that minimize environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all projects comply with local and international environmental regulations.
• Develop and implement CESMP and EMS14001 systems.
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies; manage permits and licenses.
• Conduct audits, inspections, EIAs, and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop and promote sustainability initiatives (waste reduction, recycling, energy conservation).
• Train staff on EMS14001 compliance and environmental best practices.
• Maintain accurate environmental records and prepare performance reports.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and the community.
• Respond to environmental incidents and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: 8+ years in an environmental role within construction or similar high-risk industries.
• Certifications (Preferred): CEP, LEED, ISO 14001, PMP.
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, risk assessment, and compliance systems.
• Skills: Leadership, problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and technical proficiency in environmental management tools/software.
