Environmental Manager

Position : Environmental Manager

Location : Site Base

Roles and Responsibility :

• Oversee and monitor the implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) developed by an approved third-party consultant, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory standards and project-specific requirements.
• Oversee site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, waste management procedures, and pollution control measures.
• Liaise with Client environmental representatives, government agencies (e.g., MoECC), and consultants during audits and inspections
• Ensure proper documentation of environmental permits, site monitoring results, and non-compliance reports.
• Monitor and report on air quality, noise levels, soil contamination, and water discharge, ensuring results remain within approved limits.
• Train site staff and subcontractors on environmental best practices, spill response, and sustainable construction methods.
• Prepare environmental reports, logs, and compliance summaries for internal and external review.
• Review and approve method statements, particularly those involving environmentally sensitive works (e.g., excavation, dewatering).
• Lead the investigation and root cause analysis of environmental incidents and recommend corrective actions.
