ESP Senior Field Engineer

Role Description

The Senior ESP Field Engineer is responsible for managing and executing all field operations related to Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) systems, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, workover support, and preventive overhauls. The role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, client satisfaction, and strict adherence to safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Operations Management

  • Execute field service tasks such as ESP installation, POH (Pull Out of Hole), commissioning, troubleshooting, and rig-site support.
  • Monitor daily job and project progress, ensuring timely and successful completion of rig jobs, workovers, and new installations.
  • Ensure service tools, instruments, and equipment are properly maintained, available, and in optimal working condition.
  • Support and manage workover jobs, covering manpower shortages when required.
  • Handle and deliver special projects as assigned.

Operational Reporting & Documentation

  • Summarize and document operational activities, maintaining accurate records and reports in line with operational requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports to both clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely submission.
  • Contribute to data-driven performance analysis for continuous operational improvement.

Client Communication & Relationship Management

  • Liaise with clients during operations, conducting risk assessments and ensuring full alignment with job requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of professional conduct, representing the organization with integrity, professionalism, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attend client meetings, keep communication channels open, and ensure transparency in all operations.
  • Build strong client relationships through consistent, reliable service delivery.

Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)

  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.
  • Report and document incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions in compliance with company SHE guidelines.
  • Actively participate in incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Take proactive steps to prevent injuries, equipment damage, and environmental impact.

Policies, Processes, and Continuous Improvement

  • Follow all operational policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and controlled field execution.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for system and process improvements to enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence.
  • Promote adherence to organizational policies and procedures among field teams.

Inventory and Cost Control

  • Monitor and manage field expenses to minimize operational costs.
  • Ensure proper use, storage, and tracking of spare parts, consumables, and equipment.
  • Contribute to cost-effective resource allocation and expense control.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3–5years of experience in ESP operations, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and rig-site support.
  • Strong knowledge of ESP systems, surface equipment, and workover operations.
  • Proven ability to lead field operations, manage client relations, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: E£35,000.00 - E£70,000.00 per month
