Job Purpose:
The FF&E Engineer is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising all
Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E)
activities on site for retail projects, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, budgets, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee
installation of FF&E works on site
, ensuring alignment with approved drawings, mock-ups, and specifications.

Coordinate with
contractors, suppliers, designers, and site teams
to ensure smooth FF&E execution.

Monitor site activities related to FF&E and ensure works are executed according to
quality, safety, and schedule requirements
.

Manage FF&E for
retail units, malls, and commercial spaces
, including furniture, lighting fixtures, signage elements, and equipment.

Coordinate closely with
tenant fit-out teams
to ensure FF&E integration with base build and MEP works.

Review shop drawings, samples, material submittals, and mock-ups related to FF&E.

Conduct inspections to ensure proper installation and finishing standards.

Identify and resolve site issues related to FF&E design, installation, or coordination.

Track FF&E delivery schedules and installation progress on site.

Report progress, risks, and delays to the Project Manager.

Support snagging, handover, and close-out activities related to FF&E works.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in
Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering
, or a related field.

Minimum
5 years of hands-on FF&E experience
.

Proven site retail background is a must
(malls, retail fit-out, commercial projects).

Strong knowledge of
FF&E materials, specifications, and installation processes

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Familiarity with site coordination, fit-out sequencing, and retail standards.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight retail timelines.
