Esports Event & Community Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for someone who can drive attendance, oversee daily operations, and support competitive esports development.

This role combines event management, player development, social media promotion, and community growth. You will be responsible for helping fill events, running programs, and building a strong local esports community.

Responsibilities

Program & Event Oversight

• Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly operations across all programs
• Manage and run events including Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, Minecraft Bed Wars, Valorant, Rocket League, birthday parties, and camps
• Ensure events are organized, on schedule, and delivering a strong experience
• Support revenue growth through tournaments, camps, and birthday bookings

Player Development & Coaching Support

• Work with coaches to review weekly curriculum for players (17 & under)
• Conduct and/or oversee VOD reviews and gameplay analysis across multiple games (Fortnite, Valorant, Rocket League, Smash, etc.)
• Review monthly player performance reports for parents
• Help set and track monthly player improvement goals

Event Promotion & Social Media

• Create and post daily content on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
• Promote tournaments, camps, and events to drive attendance
• Use Canva or similar tools to create graphics and posts
• Engage with the local gaming community online and in person

Growth & Revenue Targets

• Contribute to monthly goals including new member sign-ups, birthday bookings, and camp registrations
• Participate in quarterly focus rotations (events, memberships, programs)
• Support and help organize community awareness and charity events

Leadership & Innovation

• Bring a creative, out-of-the-box approach to developing new programs, events, and revenue opportunities
• Identify gaps and introduce ideas to improve player engagement and growth
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and managing staff as needed to achieve program and attendance goals
• Take ownership of results and continuously improve operations and performance

Requirements

• Experience or strong familiarity with esports and competitive gaming
• Understanding of league play and tournament structure is a plus
• Experience with streaming platforms (Twitch, YouTube, OBS) is a plus
• Familiar with Discord, start.gg, and similar platforms
• Comfortable creating and posting social media content daily
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage events and take ownership of results

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Managing Director
• Works closely with coaches and staff to execute programs and events

Compensation

• Hourly rate based on experience
• Quarterly bonus program based on performance and growth metrics
