Our client is a rapidly growing intenational EPC associated with Grid-Level projects in the
Solar Energy
industry.
They are looking for an
Estimation Engineer
, who will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of projects by accurately estimating the costs and resources required to execute engineering and construction projects.
The Estimation Engineer should have detailed knowledge of
Overall Power Plants/ Solar PV
plant. Understanding of engineering activities covering Overall plant Layout, SLD, Major component selection & Sizing, Earthing Layouts, Cable Sizing Calculations and knowledge on relevant International Codes and Standards are a distinct advantage.
Prior experience of working on Grid Scale Solar projects is an absolute must.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Analysis: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to gain a comprehensive understanding of the scope, requirements, and technical aspects of the project.

Firm knowledge on major component of Power Plant and solar PV Power Plant.

Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate the costs of materials, equipment, labor, and other resources necessary for project execution, considering market rates and project-specific factors.

Proposal Preparation: Develop comprehensive project proposals that include detailed cost breakdowns, project timelines, and technical details to present to clients or management for approval.

Sales Support: Provide support & clarifications to the Sales team during Tender meeting or site visit & Coordinating with Client technical team and informing Design specifications for obtaining approval for bidding.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the estimation process and propose mitigation strategies to minimize cost overruns and delays.

Value Engineering: Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to explore cost-effective alternatives and value engineering solutions without compromising project quality.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of estimation data, assumptions, and sources of information to facilitate future reference and improve the accuracy of future estimates.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, market rates, and new technologies related to construction and engineering to enhance the precision and efficiency of the estimation process.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to exchange information, address queries, and ensure seamless communication during project planning and execution.
Candidate Requirements:

Education: Minimum Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications in cost estimation or project management are advantageous.

Experience: 5-10 years of experience in estimation, project planning, or cost control in engineering or construction projects in the Solar projects is preferred.

Experience in Grid Scale solar projects is an absolute must.
