Estimation Engineer

• Study and evaluate tender documents including drawings, specifications, and bill of quantities (BOQ).
• Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors to obtain quotations and cost inputs.
• Prepare cost comparisons and rate build-ups for direct and indirect project costs.
• Perform quantity take-offs using drawings and specifications (manually or with software such as AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or CostX).
• Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations for accuracy and competitiveness.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and project requirements, if needed.
• Assist in preparing technical and commercial bid submissions and presentations.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
• Liaise with project managers, design teams, and finance departments to validate estimate assumptions.
• Track and update cost databases, rate libraries, and estimation tools.
