Estimation Engineer – Poly Plast

Role Overview

We are looking for an Estimation Engineer to prepare cost estimates, tenders, and technical-commercial proposals for FRP/GRP products. The role requires strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen to deliver accurate, competitive, and compliant proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOMs, and tender documents for FRP/GRP projects.
• Analyze material, labor, and subcontracting costs.
• Review drawings, client specifications, and standards to define project scope.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, QA, and Procurement teams.
• Support project handovers and client clarifications during bidding.
• Maintain costing templates, historical pricing, and estimation databases.
• Propose value engineering solutions for cost optimization.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of FRP/GRP products: tanks, vessels, scrubbers, and piping.
• Familiarity with FRP manufacturing processes (hand lay-up, filament winding, etc.).
• Understanding of relevant standards: ISO 14692, EN 13121, ASTM, AWWA, DIN, IS 2062.
• Proficient in MS Excel and ERP/estimation tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, and time-management skills.

Qualification & Experience

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Plastics / Polymer Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in FRP/GRP estimation or tendering.
• Exposure to international projects is an added advantage.

Employment Type

Full-time | Office-based | Occasional travel may be required
