Estimation Engineer

Key ResponsibilitiesI. Technical Analysis & Scope Definition

• Review Specifications: Expertly review customer requests for quotation (RFQs), technical specifications, Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), P&IDs, control narratives, and hazardous area classification documentation (e.g., Zone 1, Division 1).
• Scope Interpretation: Clearly define the project scope for Explosion Proof switchgear (e.g., purged/pressurized panels, explosion-proof enclosures) and Automation control panels (PLC/VFD cabinets).
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential commercial, technical, and scheduling risks associated with complex, custom industrial projects.

II. Cost Estimation & Quoting

• Material Costing: Accurately estimate all component and raw material costs, including specialized items such as hazardous location rated components, proprietary PLC/HMI hardware, custom steel enclosures, and bus bar systems.
• Labor & Fabrication: Determine precise labor hours required for engineering, drafting, fabrication, assembly, wiring, and factory acceptance testing (FAT) for both power and control panels.
• Vendor Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes for specialized components and services.

III. Proposal Generation

• Tender Preparation: Develop detailed, professional, and commercially sound bid packages and technical proposals.
• Cost Optimization: Work closely with the Sales and Engineering teams to propose value-engineered alternatives and cost-saving measures without compromising technical specifications or safety compliance.
• Handover: Collaborate with the Project Management team during the project handover phase to ensure the awarded contract scope aligns perfectly with the bid documentation and estimated cost baseline.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
