Job Title: Estimator - Aluminium and Glass Works

Job Overview: As an Estimator specializing in Aluminium and Glass Works, you will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, analyzing costs, and preparing accurate and competitive bids for projects involving aluminium and glass construction. This position requires a keen understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Evaluation: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project specifications and requirements.
Conduct site visits to assess the scope of work, conditions, and potential challenges.
Evaluate blueprints, drawings, and other project documents to gather necessary information.

Cost Analysis:Analyze the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services required for aluminium and glass construction projects.
Research and gather data on current market prices for aluminium, glass, and related materials.

Estimation Preparation:Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
Break down project costs into categories and create itemized lists for transparency and clarity.
Prepare bid proposals and documentation for submission to clients.

Vendor and Supplier Relations:Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to stay informed about material costs, availability, and industry trends.
Obtain and compare quotes from multiple suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.

Value Engineering:Collaborate with project teams to identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality.
Propose alternative materials or construction methods to optimize costs.

Risk Assessment:Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the project and incorporate risk factors into cost estimates.
Work with the project team to develop mitigation strategies.

Communication:Clearly communicate cost estimates and project details to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and presentations to address client inquiries and concerns.

Market Research:Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in aluminium and glass construction.
Adjust estimating strategies based on market fluctuations and economic factors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresher is welcome
• Strong proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
