Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Review RFQs, tender documents, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare detailed material take-offs for structural steel, plates, beams, pipes, and other steel components.
• Calculate fabrication, machining, welding, surface treatment, and installation costs.
• Estimate raw material requirements (MS, SS, GI, etc.) and coordinate with procurement for current market prices.
• Obtain quotations from subcontractors (galvanizing, painting, transport, erection, etc.).
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, BOQs, and commercial proposals.
• Analyze project risks and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams for technical clarifications.
• Support negotiation process with clients and suppliers.
• Maintain cost database and update standard costing templates.
• Ensure estimates are completed within required timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• EDUCATION: BE, B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 8 Years’ Experience as an Engineer or estimator in medium and heavy steel fabrication, oil and gas construction industry or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in CC is mandatory.
Should have good knowledge of CNC machine and fabrication process.

• CRITERIA:

Should be available for immediate joining or 1 month notice
Should have experience in technical sales
Should have experience in ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR8,000.00 - QAR10,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Qatar Experience in Poles manufacturing or Steel fabrication: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Qatar Driving License (Required)
