Required Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, modify, and update detailed 2D shop drawings, layout plans, and schematic diagrams using *AutoCAD*
- Incorporate revisions and markups from project managers, site engineers, and clients into existing drawings promptly and accurately.
- Ensure all drawings adhere to standard drafting protocols, layer management guidelines, and company templates.
- Maintain and organize the digital drawing registry, ensuring all revisions are properly tracked and archived.
- Review tender drawings and specifications to assist the senior team in understanding the baseline project scope.
- Perform detailed and precise material take-offs (counting and measuring quantities for materials, labor, and equipment).
- Assist in compiling data to prepare *Bills of Quantities (BOQ)* and commercial estimates using standard spreadsheets.
- Reach out to subcontractors and suppliers to gather material quotes, compile pricing sheets, and follow up on lead times.
- Help prepare documentation for final tender and bid submissions.
- Education:* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or a related technical field.
- * *Experience:* 2–5 years of hands-on experience in technical drafting and/or quantity estimation within the construction or engineering industry.
- * *Technical Skills:*
- * Strong working proficiency in *AutoCAD (2D)*.
- * Solid proficiency in *MS Excel* for data entry, basic formulas, and organizing pricing sheets.
- * Ability to read and accurately interpret blue prints, architectural drawings, and engineering symbols.
- * Familiarity with digital take-off software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam) is an advantage but not mandatory.
