Estimation Engineer- Electrical (Tendering)

• Review and analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all electrical systems (LV, MV, ELV, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, etc.).
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications.
• Identify materials, equipment, and labor requirements based on project scope.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitiveness.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in compliance with client requirements.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams to validate the accuracy of estimates.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and tender clarifications when required.
• Analyze risks and value engineering options to improve project competitiveness.
• Support management in final pricing and bid submission strategy.
• Maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, and cost benchmarks.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in estimation and tendering for MEP / Electrical contracting companies.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation practices.
• Familiarity with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local authority regulations (Kahramaa, Ashghal, etc.) preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word), and estimation software.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
