Estimation Engineer (Landscaping Company)

Key Responsibilities

• Tender & BOQ Analysis: Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost breakdowns.
• Quantity Take-offs: Accurately calculate measurements for materials (turf, plants, concrete, pavers) using software such as AutoCAD.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination: Source quotations, analyze bids, and negotiate prices with material suppliers and specialty contractors.
• Cost Analysis & Risk Identification: Evaluate project constraints and assess risks to ensure bids are both competitive and profitable.
• Site Visits: Conduct site evaluations to understand specific logistical conditions and physical constraints before quoting.
• Technical Submittals: Compile and submit comprehensive technical and commercial proposals to clients or consultants within specified deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: Typically 3 to 7 years of specialized estimation experience, particularly within the Middle East or local landscape construction markets.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and specialized takeoff or estimation software (e.g., Candy CCS, Primavera).
• Landscape Knowledge: Strong understanding of local horticultural requirements, irrigation systems, and hardscape construction methods.
