Estimation Engineer - Steel

• Monitor and control project costs (materials, labor, fabrication, subcontractors).
• Track actual expenses vs. budget and identify cost variances.
• Maintain cost records, cost codes, and project cost tracking systems.
• Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial data and recommend cost-saving actions.
• Monitor steel material consumption and control wastage.
• Review invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor bills for accuracy.
• Ensure project stays within approved budget and financial targets.
• Support project team in budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and accounts for cost tracking.
• Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• 3–7 years experience in cost control in steel fabrication / construction
• Strong knowledge of project costing, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Basic knowledge of estimation & BOQ
• Good Excel and ERP system knowledge
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
