Quantity Surveyor ( MEP & CIVIL Construction )

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and project specifications for Civil and MEP works.
  • Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project cost plans.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award recommendations.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures remain within the approved budget.
  • Verify subcontractor bills, payment certificates, and final accounts.
  • Identify, measure, and evaluate variations and prepare variation order submissions.
  • Maintain records of quantities, costs, variations, and contractual correspondence.
  • Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities executed.
  • Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project commercial status reports.
  • Support claim preparation related to additional works, delays, and extension of time (EOT) submissions.
  • Monitor material consumption and reconcile quantities against approved budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
  • Assist in project close-out activities, including preparation and settlement of final accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
