
Quantity Surveyor ( MEP & CIVIL Construction )
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and project specifications for Civil and MEP works.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project cost plans.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist in tender preparation, bid evaluation, and contract award recommendations.
- Monitor project costs and ensure expenditures remain within the approved budget.
- Verify subcontractor bills, payment certificates, and final accounts.
- Identify, measure, and evaluate variations and prepare variation order submissions.
- Maintain records of quantities, costs, variations, and contractual correspondence.
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
- Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities executed.
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and project commercial status reports.
- Support claim preparation related to additional works, delays, and extension of time (EOT) submissions.
- Monitor material consumption and reconcile quantities against approved budgets.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Assist in project close-out activities, including preparation and settlement of final accounts.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
