Estimation & Tender Management
- Lead the estimation process for landscaping, irrigation, swimming pool, water feature, and maintenance projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and complete tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate and competitive pricing.
- Ensure timely, compliant, and high-quality submission of tender documents in line with client requirements.
Cost Analysis & Technical Evaluation
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and project teams to obtain accurate cost inputs.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness and technical suitability.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns covering materials, labour, equipment, overheads, and project scope.
- Align estimates with prevailing UAE market rates and the company’s pricing strategy.
Value Engineering & Risk Assessment
- Identify commercial, technical, and execution risks during the tendering stage.
- Recommend value engineering solutions to optimize project costs while maintaining quality and performance.
- Propose alternative construction methods, materials, or procurement strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Support management in reviewing commercial proposals and making final tender decisions.
Supplier & Cost Database Management
- Maintain and regularly update databases for suppliers, subcontractors, material rates, and historical project costs.
- Monitor market trends and pricing fluctuations to ensure estimates remain accurate and competitive.
- Develop and maintain internal cost benchmarks for commonly executed activities and materials.
Coordination & Commercial Support
- Coordinate closely with procurement, design, engineering, and project teams to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
- Assist with contract negotiations and respond to post-tender queries and clarifications.
- Participate in pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all tender submissions comply with contractual, technical, and company standards.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the estimation team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Review and validate estimates prepared by team members before submission.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and performance support to junior estimators and engineers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of estimation experience, preferably in landscaping, infrastructure, or construction projects within the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, construction methodologies, and UAE market rates.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing tenders for government and private sector projects.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and estimation software.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
