About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Estimation & Proposal Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, developing quotations, negotiating with suppliers and clients, and managing the submission of technical and commercial proposals. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on project requirements, specifications, and client inquiries.
- Develop and submit commercial quotations and proposals within specified timelines.
- Analyze project costs including materials, labor, subcontracting, and overhead expenses.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather technical and commercial information for bids and proposals.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers and vendors.
- Follow up with clients regarding submitted quotations and proposals.
- Maintain records of estimates, quotations, contracts, and proposal submissions.
- Assist in tender preparation and bid documentation.
- Monitor market pricing trends and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Support management in securing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in costing, estimation, quotations, tendering, or proposal management.
- Strong understanding of commercial documentation and pricing structures.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, industrial services, or project-based businesses.
- Familiarity with tendering processes and bid management.
- Knowledge of procurement and supplier management practices.
