Cost Estimator - Packaging (US Shift)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator with experience in the packaging industry to join our team. The Cost Estimator is responsible for accurately assessing the costs involved in manufacturing custom packaging, primarily corrugated boxes, rigid boxes, folding cartons, and specialty packaging. This role involves analyzing design specifications, materials, labor, equipment, and logistics to provide detailed and competitive quotes to clients while ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze customer specifications, drawings, and requirements to understand packaging needs.
• Calculate material, labor, machine time, tooling, printing, die-cutting, and finishing costs for custom box manufacturing.
• Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to gather relevant information for accurate cost estimation.
• Prepare detailed and timely cost estimates and customer quotations.
• Suggest cost-saving options or design adjustments for better pricing.
• Maintain pricing databases for materials, labor rates, and vendor costs.
• Monitor industry pricing trends and raw material costs to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.
• Assist in cost analysis for new product development or project feasibility.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost models and databases for different types of packaging (e.g., corrugated, rigid, flexible).
• Support production planning by identifying key cost drivers and production efficiencies.
• Ensure estimates are aligned with company profit margins and pricing strategy.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a cost estimator in the packaging, printing, or manufacturing industry (custom packaging preferred).
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and manufacturing processes (e.g., die-cutting, printing, gluing, lamination) and finishing techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and costing software (e.g., ERP systems, Estimation Tools).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with a high level of responsibility.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Location: Garden Town, Lahore

Job Timing: 8:00 pm - 5:00 am

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs90,000.00 - Rs110,000.00 per month
