Estimator

Position Summary:

The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotations for custom tags, labels, and specialty printed products. This role works closely with sales, customer service, production, and purchasing to evaluate specifications, determine manufacturing costs, and develop competitive pricing. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, understands print manufacturing processes, and can interpret customer specifications to ensure quotes are both profitable and achievable.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review customer specifications, drawings, and artwork requirements to develop accurate cost estimates.

- Prepare and send detailed quotes including materials, printing, finishing and packaging

-Analyze job requirements such as substrates, adhesives, inks, coatings, die cutting, laminating, finishing

- Determine production methods

-Collaborate with sales to clarify job requirements

-Review historical jobs and costing data to ensure consistent and competitive pricing

-Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for cost savings or process improvements

Qualifications:

-Estimating experience (particularly in the printing or packaging industry) is preferred

-Understanding of printing and converting processes

-Ability to read and interpret customer specs, blueprints, art, etc.

-Detail oriented

-Proficiency on computers/software

-Ability to manage multiple quotes (fast paced environment)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
