Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare detailed BOQs and cost estimates.
- Prepare and submit tender documents including pricing, technical submissions, and clarifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and engineering teams for accurate estimation.
- Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for joinery, finishes, and specialist trades.
- Value engineer alternative solutions to meet client budget and design intent.
- Monitor material and labor costs in the UAE market to maintain up-to-date cost databases.
- Conduct site visits for estimation validation when required.
- Attend tender clarification meetings and post-tender negotiations.
- Maintain a database of historical costings and completed tenders for reference.
- Track and report on tenders submitted, won/lost, and reasons.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- 4–8 years of experience as an estimator, with a focus on interior fit-out and joinery projects in the UAE/GCC.
- Strong knowledge of local suppliers, materials, and labor market.
- Excellent skills in AutoCAD, MS Office (especially Excel), and estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, PlanSwift, etc.).
- Familiarity with UAE construction and fit-out standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and time-management skills.
