Estimator (Mid Level) - Aluminum/Facade Industry

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for aluminum and facade systems. You will play a key role in supporting our sales and project management teams by providing accurate and timely pricing based on drawings, specifications, and supplier quotations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Quantify materials and labor required for curtain walls, windows, doors, cladding systems, and other facade elements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and technical data.
• Prepare and submit RFIs to clarify project requirements.
• Prepare bid proposals and present them to the management and sales teams.
• Work with project managers to support hand-off after project award.
• Maintain and update historical cost data, estimating tools, and databases.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization efforts.
• Ensure all estimates comply with project and industry standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator in the aluminum, glazing, or facade industry.
• Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminum glazing, cladding, or similar building envelope products.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings.
• Familiar with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel).
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience with project takeoffs and cost planning in commercial or high-rise construction.
• Familiarity with local building codes and facade performance requirements.
