Rhoads Metal Works, Inc. is a fourth-generation company founded in 1896 servicing the Delaware Valley Tri-State area for over 130 years. We are a leading industrial and institutional mechanical maintenance contractor with a large fleet of field service crews, and a fully equipped custom fabrication shop located in Pennsauken, NJ.
Role Overview
We are currently seeking to add a CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER & ESTIMATOR to our Structural Steel & Misc. Steel team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating and managing sales, client relationships, and job execution from start to finish. This includes establishing and building relationships with General Contractors (GC's), designers, and facility managers, creating detailed quotes, coordinating fabrication, and overseeing installation crews. This role will have split time between the office and on-site field supervision.
High Level Responsibilities
- Receive ITB’s & RFP’s from GC’s/Contractors and review all project documents.
- Create detailed take-offs of structural & misc. metals scope based on drawings provided.
- Attend pre-bid walkthroughs and take accurate field measurements when necessary.
- Develop detailed and accurate quotes based on bid documents and/or site visit.
- Coordinate project schedule with client, fabrication shop, and field install crews.
- Schedule, coordinate, and manage subcontractors when applicable.
- Visit and verify proper completion of job.
- Assist A/R dept. to develop and review monthly invoices.
- Identify new business opportunities both within existing Customers and new potential Customers.
Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of construction project management experience, or 4+ years of mechanical maintenance field experience.
- Thorough understanding of industrial means & methods including structural steel components, conveying systems, ventilation systems, food manufacturing equipment, piping systems, welding, and fabrication required.
- Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings required.
- Strong communication skills and detail oriented.
- Experience with Sage 100 Contractor is preferred.
- Experience with AIA billing (G702/G703) is preferred.
- Proficient with MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work both in a group and independently on projects and tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Analytical problem solver.
- Current US Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Comfortable with a professional, polished appearance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to complete strenuous, physical tasks and lift over 40lbs
- Must be comfortable climbing tall ladders and comfortable with heights
- Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently
- Ability to work in varied environments that can involve dirt, odors, noise, and temperature extremes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
