Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and oral).
• Working experience with construction project bid documents.
• Solid time-management, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Experience providing engineering cost-effective solutions to complex commercial-level construction problems.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations

Project Estimator’s Responsibilities Will Include:

• Study and understand scopes of work for sophisticated commercial-level building systems and controls.
• Verify compliance with bid instructions throughout the bid process, obtaining all necessary documentation and submitting a complete bid packet on time.
• Perform quantity take-offs for self-performed work.
• Evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids to confirm the scope of work and materials quoted to meet the bid documents and project requirements.
• Prepare contract startup templates, permits, subcontracts, and PO's.
• Generate a master schedule for projects with input from the VP of Operations and Project Superintendent(s).
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices monthly and prepare owner invoices based on work completed to date.
• Manage projects to completion while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule.

Project Estimator’s Qualifications:

• An Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), Building Construction, or Architecture Degree
• Estimating, take-off, scheduling, and contracting experience
• REQUIRED: 2 years or more of commercial construction experience in an estimator, project manager, or field superintendent role
• REQUIRED: Ability to pass background and drug screening
