We are hiring an experienced MPS Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in electrical engineering for oil & gas production facilities and skid-based projects. The role requires solid knowledge of electrical systems design, equipment specifications, installation, and commissioning, with proven experience in large-scale facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical lead for designing electrical systems required to operate facility projects, ensuring delivery within budget and timelines.

  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and provide required deliverables.

  • Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase, raising clarifications and deviations when necessary.

  • Create/review electrical design basis and project specifications.

  • Provide technical requirements for electrical equipment and preliminary MTOs during proposals.

  • Conduct technical bid analysis of vendor quotes and provide recommendations.

  • Deliver electrical engineering documents as per schedule and budget.

  • Perform/review calculations: equipment sizing, cable sizing, lighting, earthing & lightning protection, heat tracing, and cathodic protection.

  • Develop load balance schedules, hazardous area classification drawings, and electrical system studies.

  • Prepare datasheets, material selection, technical specifications, and detailed drawings.

  • Review, comment, and approve vendor documents and outsourced engineering deliverables.

  • Participate in engineering/client meetings, HAZOP, FAT, and SAFOP.

  • Support site engineering during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers/designers.

  • Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, NEC, NEMA, NFPA, and other international codes and standards.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement in service quality, safety, and project execution.

  • Provide support to operations on engineering/technical matters.

  • Ability and willingness to travel as per project/business needs.

  • Electrical actual costs vs budget (including approved variation orders).

  • On-time delivery of engineering deliverables.

  • Resource planning and utilization for electrical engineering.

  • Non-conformance reports (NCRs) tracking and resolution.

  • Electrical Engineering Design Change Notifications (EDCN) and MOCs.

  • Service Quality (SQ) compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor//'s Degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience: Minimum 8+ years industry experience in oil & gas production facilities and skid-based engineering projects

Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, grounding, lighting, small power systems, lightning protection, HV/MV/LV systems, MCC, motors, generators (diesel & power), VFDs, transformers, bus ducts, and cables.

  • Experience with electrical systems in large-scale oil & gas facilities, including packaged mechanical equipment (GEG, GTG, compressors, pumps, cranes, hoists, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Lifecycle Information Management Systems (Aveva tools), Navisworks, ETAP, and DIALux.

  • Sound understanding of engineering judgment, design efficiency, and international standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, NEMA, NFPA).

  • Experience in engineering, installation, commissioning, and operations support.

  • Familiarity with project audits, site support, and safety/quality compliance.
