EV Technician

Job Purpose

To ensure the effective execution of repairs in line with customer expectations and requirements, by prioritising quality and safety while meeting promised time deadlines

Job Responsibilities

• Carry out Electric Vehicle (EV) repairs according to manufacturer standards and work instruction manuals to the highest standard

• Complete all work effectively and within scheduled times to maintain efficiency

• Accurately record details of diagnostics, work completed, and components used, in line with manufacturer standards

• Apply F1 – Fix it Right First Time principles

• Diagnose and repair EV faults using advanced tools

• Program and calibrate vehicle control modules for optimal performance

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections, ensuring adherence to safety standards

• Collaborate with the Technical Team to enhance vehicle software and hardware performance

• Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining technical issues

• Ensure materials drawn on job cards are used for the respective vehicle

• Handle special tools correctly and responsibly

• Raise parts requisitions as required

• Complete warranty tags, attach them to warranty parts, and store them in the warranty room

• Seek approval from the Team Leader for additional repairs or warranty jobs

• Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free work areas in accordance with health and safety regulations

• Strictly adhere to safety procedures and requirements as per SOP

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or equivalent qualification

Work Experience

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in EV systems

Competencies

• Proficient in computer diagnostics, programming, and EV communication protocols

• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Certification in Electric Vehicle Repair or equivalent

• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage
