Event Bartender

Austin Country Club is seeking a dedicated and professional full-time Event Bartender to join our esteemed bar team in Austin, Texas. This position offers a rate of $16/hour, plus a service charge of $17 to $30, all while enjoying comprehensive benefits, including:

WHAT YOUR DAY IS LIKE

In this bartending role, you will provide first-class service to members and guests throughout their visit. Each day will involve setting up portable bars for club events, preparing garnishes and ingredients, and ensuring the bar is properly stocked and organized. You will be responsible for mixing and serving both classic and craft cocktails, maintaining accurate records, and upholding health code standards through diligent cleaning and organization of the bar area. Your daily responsibilities will also include collaborating with fellow team members and managers to deliver premium guest service, participating in monthly inventory counts, and attending staff meetings and required training. You will complete assignments from the Food and Beverage Manager or supervisor, all while maintaining the standards of excellence that define the Austin Country Club experience.

WHAT'S NEEDED FROM AN EVENT BARTENDER?

Schedule: The Event Bartender position is full-time and requires a flexible schedule. Candidates should be prepared to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with shifts varying in length from 4 to 8 hours depending on event needs. Occasional split shifts (doubles) may be scheduled. Availability during weekends and holidays is essential for this bartending role.


Event Bartender Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of bartending experience in a restaurant or club (club experience is a plus)
  • TABC and Texas Food Handlers certifications
  • Base knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor
  • Ability to create classic and craft cocktails
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • Genuine passion for delivering top-notch service
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to move and lift up to 55 - 90 lbs, stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Basic computer skills (a plus)
