Event Staff Duties and Responsibilities1. Event Setup & Breakdown
- Set up tables, chairs, stages, booths, signage, and equipment.
- Assist in decorating event spaces as per client or management instructions.
- Test and prepare audio-visual equipment (if trained).
- Dismantle and pack up event materials after completion.
2. Guest Services
- Greet and direct attendees to appropriate areas.
- Provide information about event schedules, locations, and services.
- Assist with check-in, ticketing, or registration.
- Distribute promotional materials, badges, or wristbands.
3. Crowd Control & Safety
- Monitor crowd behavior and ensure smooth flow of foot traffic.
- Assist in enforcing event policies, including age restrictions and entry protocols.
- Support emergency procedures and report safety concerns immediately.
- Check guest credentials or passes at access points.
4. Vendor & Performer Assistance
- Help vendors or performers load in/load out.
- Provide directions, schedules, or assistance during the event.
- Relay messages or updates between organizers and participants.
5. Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Keep event areas clean and tidy throughout the event.
- Restock supplies like water, napkins, or sanitizer stations.
- Collect trash and empty bins regularly.
- Report any damages or maintenance needs promptly.
6. Communication & Coordination
- Follow instructions from supervisors or event managers.
- Use radios or phones to stay in contact with the event team.
- Coordinate with catering, security, tech, and other staff as needed.
- Adapt to changing needs or unexpected issues during the event.
7. Customer Service & Representation
- Represent the event organizers or venue professionally.
- Respond to guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests politely.
- Maintain a positive, helpful attitude throughout the shift.
- Follow dress code and grooming standards.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: QAR120.00 per day
Expected hours: 40 per week
