Events Management Director | JC Events Qatar
Location: Al Mana Tower, 18th Floor, West Bay, Doha, Qatar
Position Type: Full-Time / Senior Executive
Industry: Luxury Events, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) & Corporate Hospitality
Position Overview
JC Events Qatar is seeking a high-caliber Events Management Director to lead our flagship operations from our executive suite in West Bay. As the primary architect of our event strategies, you will oversee the conceptualization and execution of large-scale corporate functions, international conferences, and luxury private events in one of the world's most dynamic event hubs.
The ideal candidate is a master of "logistical choreography"—someone who can balance the creative demands of high-profile clients with the operational rigor required to manage multi-million Qatari Riyal budgets and complex international supply chains.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute an annual events roadmap that aligns with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and JC Events’ global expansion goals.
- Full-Lifecycle Oversight: Direct all phases of event production, from initial bidding and site inspections to on-site coordination and post-event ROI analysis.
- Financial Management: Oversee the department’s P&L, utilizing advanced Excel functions (XLOOKUP, Macros) to monitor project-based spending, vendor contracts, and profit margins.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison for high-net-worth individuals, government entities, and international corporate stakeholders, reporting directly to the 18th-floor executive team.
- Team Mentorship: Lead and scale a multidisciplinary team of event planners, technical directors, and marketing specialists, fostering a culture of authenticity and "slow-burn" relationship building.
- Vendor & Logistics Coordination: Negotiate and manage contracts with premium venues, catering partners, and global logistics providers to ensure seamless execution.
- Risk & Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to Qatar’s safety regulations, public assembly laws, and international health and security standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 12+ years in events management or high-end hospitality, with at least 6 years in a directorial or senior leadership role within the Middle East.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of event management software (Cvent or similar) and deep experience with ERP systems (D365) for resource scheduling.
- Language: Professional fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Arabic or Tagalog is a significant advantage for local vendor coordination and staff management.
- Regional Insight: Extensive network within the Doha hospitality and venue landscape (specifically West Bay and Lusail).
- Mindset: A "work-hard, play-hard" philosophy—someone who values professional excellence as the primary funding mechanism for global travel and personal discovery.
What We Offer
- Prestigious Location: A world-class office at Al Mana Tower, offering panoramic views of the Doha skyline and proximity to the city’s business elite.
- Impact: The opportunity to direct events that shape the cultural and commercial landscape of Qatar.
- Compensation: Highly competitive tax-free salary, performance-based "Grand Slam" bonuses, housing allowance, and annual travel passage.
- Culture: A collaborative, results-oriented environment that respects professional integrity and promotes a healthy work-life balance.
