Location: Karachi (Shahrah-e-Faisal – Onsite)
Shift: Night Shift (US Business Hours)
Schedule: 5 Days a Week | Alternate Saturdays
Salary: Up to PKR 70,000 – 85,000 / month

Job Summary

We are hiring an Excel Expert to support data analysis, reporting, and operational efficiency for a US-based retail chain from our Karachi back office. This role requires a highly analytical professional with advanced Excel skills and the ability to handle large datasets in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate will work closely with US stakeholders during night hours, ensuring accurate reporting, data integrity, and actionable insights to support business decisions across multiple retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze large datasets related to sales, inventory, and financial performance
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards
• Generate insights to support decision-making and business strategy
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement

Advanced Excel & Automation

• Develop and maintain complex Excel models and spreadsheets
• Use advanced formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables)
• Automate repetitive tasks using macros and VBA (preferred)
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and validation across reports

Retail Operations Support

• Support reporting for retail stores, including sales tracking and performance analysis
• Work with POS and inventory data to ensure accuracy and reconciliation
• Assist in pricing analysis, stock movement tracking, and margin reporting
• Coordinate with operations teams to resolve data discrepancies

Data Management & Systems

• Maintain and organize large volumes of structured data
• Ensure proper documentation and version control of reports
• Collaborate with IT and finance teams for data integration and system improvements
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate effectively with US-based teams in fluent English (verbal and written)
• Present reports, findings, and insights in a clear and concise manner
• Prepare documentation, SOPs, and reporting guidelines
• Provide regular updates on reporting accuracy and performance metrics

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, IT, or a related field
• 3–5 years of experience in data analysis or reporting roles
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory)
• Experience working with US-based clients or retail data is preferred
• Proven ability to work night shifts aligned with US business hours

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced Excel skills (formulas, Pivot Tables, data analysis tools)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage large datasets and meet deadlines
• Basic knowledge of Power BI or other reporting tools (a plus)
• Excellent English communication skills (non-negotiable)
