The Execution Manager – General Cargo Operations
is responsible for overseeing the effective management and coordination of General Cargo operations across all terminals within the group. This role ensures alignment with strategic objectives, operational consistency, and compliance with corporate standards. It includes optimizing operational efficiency, developing standardized processes, enhancing resource utilization, and fostering collaboration between terminals. The position supports business strategic planning, capacity terminals calculations, and the implementation of digital solutions, contributing to organization growth and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for general cargo operations across terminals, ensuring compliance with best practices and international standards.

Assist in the preparation and development of business cases for operational initiatives, including investments, expansions, or process improvements.

Conduct capacity calculations and feasibility studies to optimize terminal performance and resource utilization.

Monitor and analyze operational data and KPIs from terminals, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Facilitate knowledge sharing and the implementation of best practices among terminals to drive continuous improvement.

Collaborate with terminal teams to resolve operational challenges, enhancing service delivery and reducing costs.

Ensure compliance with corporate safety, environmental, and operational policies and international regulations.

Coordinate with IT teams for the implementation and optimization of digital tools for general cargo operations.

Regularly review and update contingency plans to address operational risks and changes in market conditions.
People Management Responsibilities:

Mentor, guide, and provide training to terminal teams to build capacity and encourage operational excellence.

Conduct performance appraisals and identify development needs for staff across terminals.

Work closely with terminal managers to ensure effective communication and coordination among teams.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in general cargo operation, business administration, Ports/ Maritime Management or a related field.

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams in multicultural environments, fostering inclusivity, and leveraging diverse perspectives.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex international market data, cultural factors, and geopolitical trends, translating them into actionable insights and recommendations.

In-depth knowledge of the international ports and logistics industry, global trade dynamics, market trends, cultural intelligence, and regulatory frameworks across various international markets.

Advanced certifications in project management, logistics, or supply chain management are highly desirable.

Years of Experience:

Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in general cargo terminal operations or centralized support roles within the port and logistics industry.

Proven experience in managing Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
