This position provides high-level administrative support within the fast-paced environment of the Governor’s Office. The position serves as a key operational link, supporting Senior Leadership while also acting as the backup for the Governor’s Scheduler and Special Assistant. Success in this role requires professional poise, the ability to handle confidential information with care, and the flexibility to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support & Coordination
  • Serve as senior leader’s point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and the public.
  • Draft, proofread, and finalize sensitive memos and official correspondence with a high degree of accuracy and a professional tone.
  • Organize comprehensive travel itineraries and provide administrative support for high-level meetings, press conferences, and state events.
  • Compile briefing materials to prepare senior leadership for daily meetings.
  • Coordinate intricate schedules for multiple senior leaders, balancing internal briefings, department meetings, and statewide events.
  • Provide backup for the Governor’s Scheduler and Special Assistant, including managing the Governor’s scheduling, handling logistics, and compiling briefing materials as needed.
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong understanding of state administrative management, program operations, and organizational processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise formats.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure necessary follow-up is completed.

  • Handle highly sensitive, confidential, and political information with absolute integrity.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Desirable Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

    • OR equivalent experience (one year of relevant administrative, professional, or technical experience may substitute for one year of education).
  • 5-7 years of experience in executive-level support, preferably in government, law, or a corporate office.
