What You'll Do
You are essential to our office, essential to our success. We are Boston Consulting Group (BCG), a 60-years young strategy consulting firm. Over the past few years, BCG has been ranked #1 in Consulting Magazine's annual "Best Firms to Work For" survey and #12 on Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list.
While we are proud of our heritage, we are even more excited about our future, and if you are the person we are looking for, we'd be excited to share it with you. In this role, you’re the backbone of the function. You ensure that the Managing Director & Partners (MDPs) you support have what they need to seamlessly serve our clients, and meet their internal commitments and goals. You anticipate the needs of your customers, look ahead and prevent problems from arising. This position involves keeping up with the fast pace of our Consulting team by managing case team logistics, managing complex schedules (including internal and external meetings), end-to-end ownership of travel planning, and keeping track of time and expenses.
This role starts with a 60-day in-office onboarding period designed to build strong foundations and accelerate learning. After the first 60 days, we operate in a hybrid model.
At BCG, our people and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in-person work is essential to our culture, mentorship, and professional development. That’s why we operate in a hybrid model, with the expectation that team members are in the office 3 to 5 days per week. This role is designed for those who thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is not intended for fully remote or virtual work. While in the office, you will be surrounded by a community of intelligent, highly motivated and service-minded people. EAs help shape our culture by actively participating in office life, and collaborate across functions to help fellow Business Services Team (BST) members. Our philosophy is to grow by growing others, and you will serve as role models to more junior members of the Admin team. We work hard together, and we go out of our way to support each other – we want everyone to be successful, individually and as a team.
We foster a supportive environment that propels your growth in the areas that inspire you. We provide real-time feedback, nurture curiosity, empower decision-making, and allow room to learn from mistakes. The Executive Assistant role offers numerous growth opportunities across a variety of areas including event planning, affiliation engagement, case team logistics management, client relationship building, and maximize how the MDP and Partner allocates their time and energy. Your career at BCG will be at the intersection of your skills and desires and the needs of our business; it will only be limited by your investment.
