  Description
  
 The Jed Foundation (JED) is a nonprofit organization that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults. The School Programs & Consulting division, led by the Senior Vice President of SchoolPrograms & Consulting, represents JED’s largest team and encompasses all programmatic work across PK-12 and Higher Education, nationwide, as well as Educational Programming (workshops/trainings), and consulting services for schools.. This team supports academic institutions as they create an interdisciplinary task force, complete organizational and student-facing assessments of policies, programs, and practices, and then create feedback reports and strategic plans for each institution. The JED team then provides ongoing customized support and technical assistance as the campus implements its plan. We are seeking a full-time Executive Assistant - School Programs & Consulting motivated to play a key role in our growing organization to support the expansion of our innovative programs by improving the efficiency of our executive leadership. The position reports to the SVP, School Programs, a member of JED’s executive team, and will be an integral part of the School Programs & Consulting division. Qualified applicants will have experience supporting executives, stellar organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple calendars, deadlines, and priorities while working in regular partnership with the SVP. This position requires excellent project management skills and the ability to bring structure to cross-functional programs.  Key Responsibilities
 
- 
   Support the SVP, School Programs, in all aspects of their work, maximizing their efficiency by coordinating the SVPs workflow and priorities, managing their schedule and anticipating steps ahead, including calendar management, travel management and expense management.
  
- 
   Assist with drafting communications on behalf of the SVP, School Programs & Consulting, as assigned, and helping to manage and prioritize their email communications.
  
- 
   Prepare for internal and external meetings for the SVP, School Programs & Consulting, and the division leadership team as assigned.
  
- 
   Provide members of the leadership team support in moving projects forward by assisting with information gathering, prepping documents, communicating with different parties, developing and monitoring plans, note taking, and keeping track of responsibilities.
  
- 
   Manage special projects assigned by the SVP, School Programs & Consulting.
  
- 
   Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner.
  
- 
   Schedule, prepare materials and notes, and ensure follow-up for various projects and meetings.
  
- 
   Assist with event planning logistics and other projects.
  
- 
   Anticipate needs from the SVP, School Programs & Consulting and identify opportunities to create processes and systems to streamline workflow for them.
   
 
 
 
 Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
 
- 
   Associate’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  
- 
   5 + years' experience as an executive assistant.
  
- 
   Experience engaging with board members and senior leadership at external organizations.
  
- 
   Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  
- 
   Excellent planning and organizational skills; strong attention to detail.
  
- 
   Experience with travel and expense management.
  
- 
   Experience scheduling complex meetings across multiple time zones with internal and external stakeholders.
  
- 
   Ability to work independently, exercise professional judgment and have discretion.
  
- 
   Team-oriented and flexible.
  
- 
   Proficient in Google Docs, Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

   Passion for promoting emotional health and preventing suicide among college students.
