IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL


In this role, you’ll be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the GPON network and optical fiber infrastructure for exchanges, MSAGs, and corporate customers in the Taxila region. The position involves ensuring seamless network performance , managing fault rectification, and supporting service continuity for both technical and field operations. You will also handle the operation, maintenance, and migration of FF (Fixed Fiber) customers , including the resolution of low power cases to maintain optimal service quality and customer satisfaction.


HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT


Ensure timely execution of maintenance projects. Improve operational KPIs. Ensure Operation and Maintenance of Flash Fiber in Taxila domain RTR. Implementing proactive measures to

ensure fault free communication to the FF valued customers to achieve the maximum availability of the network in.

Monitor and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MTTR, MTTP, CHI, Quality of Installation, team management, team engagement & and migration targets.

Handle OPEX and CAPEX requirements on the SAP. Coordinate with agencies to protect and safeguard PTCL Network during development activities.

Ensure Health, Safety and environmental conditions and standards to avoid any equipment damage, human life during field activities.

Routinely monitoring the Tx/Rx Power Levels from NMS to maintain a correlation between Fiber Losses and Rx Power Levels. Also, monitoring and resolution of optical low/high power cases of FF customers.

Manage monthly test of spare Fibers to monitor/ improve the network performance. Initiate plans for expansion, upgradation and replacement of OFC where required and to provide Technical support to all concerned.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL


Qualification

BS Engineering (Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Software, Computer

Science etc)

Minimum of 6 months experience


Technical Competency:

  • Operational & Maintenance Activities
  • Technical Knowledge regarding GPON
  • Planning & Coordination
