Job Summary
The Executive – Learning & Development is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting training and development initiatives for clinical and non-clinical staff in the hospital. The role ensures continuous learning, regulatory compliance, patient safety training, and skill enhancement in line with hospital policies, accreditation standards, and healthcare best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate training programs for doctors, nurses, paramedical, and administrative staff
- Support induction and orientation programs for new employees, including hospital policies, patient safety, and infection control
- Assist in identifying training needs in consultation with department heads and clinical leaders
- Organize mandatory healthcare trainings such as BLS, ACLS, infection control, fire & safety, NABH/JCI compliance, and medical ethics
- Maintain training calendars, attendance records, certifications, and competency assessments
- Support development and updating of SOPs, training manuals, presentations, and e-learning content
- Liaise with internal trainers, external faculty, medical colleges, and training vendors
- Track training effectiveness and prepare reports for audits, accreditation, and management review
- Ensure compliance with hospital quality standards, statutory requirements, and accreditation guidelines
- Support continuous medical education (CME) and nursing education programs

- Strong coordination, documentation, and reporting skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Attention to detail and compliance orientation
Educational Qualifications
- MBA - HR / MAHRM
- Certification in Training & Development or Healthcare Quality (preferred)
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, HR, or training coordination within a hospital or healthcare organization preferred
