Executive Personal Assistant to Chief Executive Officer

Overview

A leading investment firm is seeking a highly experienced Executive / Personal Assistant to support its CEO in a true right-hand capacity. This is a critical, high-trust role that blends executive support with personal coordination, requiring sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate at pace in a demanding environment.

The position is based in New York City and requires five days per week in-office presence.


The Role

Working in a one-on-one partnership with the CEO, this individual will serve as a central point of coordination across both business and personal matters. The role requires constant prioritization, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.

You will act as a gatekeeper and liaison to senior leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and execution across a wide range of responsibilities. This is a highly visible position that plays a key role in enabling the CEO to operate efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a complex, ever-evolving calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities and personal commitments
  • Coordinate detailed domestic and international travel, including itineraries, logistics, and real-time adjustments
  • Serve as a primary liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Act as a strategic gatekeeper to the CEO’s time, balancing competing demands with sound judgment
  • Partner closely with the CEO’s spouse on scheduling, events, and household-related matters
  • Oversee and coordinate with household staff, vendors, and service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Manage personal appointments, reservations, and special requests with discretion and efficiency
  • Handle highly sensitive and confidential information across both business and personal matters
  • Draft and manage correspondence, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Track and drive follow-ups on key business and personal initiatives
  • Anticipate needs, troubleshoot issues, and proactively implement solutions across all areas of responsibility

Profile

  • 10+ years of experience supporting senior executives, with significant exposure to both executive and personal support
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or principals with complex personal infrastructures
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, high-pressure workflows with precision and composure
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professional maturity
  • Resourceful, proactive, and comfortable operating independently in a fluid environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools

    • Compensation: $200,000 – $300,000 base, plus competitive benefits
