    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum of a high school graduate or equivalent, with some business college or business-oriented courses preferred. Previous experience in secretarial/finance work preferred.
    • Applicant must successfully pass the Secretary service personnel competency test and the Accountant II competency test.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform receptionist duties (answering telephone and receiving visitors) in a courteous, professional manner.
    • Maintain operating budget from state, federal, and local revenues.
    • Process grant awards and prepare budget supplements and transfers as needed.
    • Coordinate the financial operation of all budgeted funds with the fiscal agent, the state department of education, and/or other agencies.
    • Prepare and submit purchase orders and process invoices for payment.
    • Prepare monthly financial reports for the Administrative Council meeting.
    • Maintain required financial records for annual audit of operating funds.
    • Process payroll and maintain payroll and personnel records and employee contracts.
    • Prepare job postings for vacant positions.
    • Accounting of all transactions for the school's general fund, including receipts, expenditures, purchase orders, deposits, monthly reconciliation of bank statements, preparation of the monthly financial report for the Administrative Council, and maintenance of all required records for annual audit.
    • Sort and process mail.
    • Set up and maintain student records.
    • Prepare agenda packets and take minutes for Administrative Council meetings.
    • Operate office machines.
    • Maintain positive work habits.
    • Performs duties efficiently and productively.
    • Maintain and/or upgrade skills.
    • Complete required WVEIS reports and entries. (Student scheduling, green screen/financials, attendance, and transcription.)
    • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by the Director.
