Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Our team is looking for a reliable, energetic EFDA. Four to five days a week. Radiographers license is required. Eagle Soft experience is helpful but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
• Perform chairside assisting with proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Take digital dental X-rays and other dental imaging such as 3D scans while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards.
• Manage patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding.
• Support the dental reception team by coordinating appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the practice.
• Maintain a clean and sterile clinical environment by following infection control guidelines and proper sterilization procedures for all equipment.

Experience

• Proven experience working in a general dentistry, setting as a dental assistant or EFDA or currently are in an EFDA program
• Familiarity with dental software systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to patient privacy and medical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with X-ray techniques, medical imaging including 3D scanners, and radiographic safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe clinical operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
