Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA)

Baxter Family Dentistry is looking to add a skilled and motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team.

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated, highly organized, team player who will support the dentist in providing quality patient care. We are looking for assistants who have experience with all types of procedures, including dentures and implants. Expanded functions a plus!

We focus on providing the best patient care possible in our small, hometown feeling office. We would love to add you to part of our team!

Expectations:

• Assist dentist during advanced procedures (crowns, bridges, root canals, extractions, implants, dentures)
• Place and finish composite restorations in accordance with state regulations
• Take final impressions and fabricate temporary crowns/bridges
• Adjust and polish restorations as directed by the dentist
• Take necessary dental radiographs
• Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA
• Accurately chart treatments and update patient medical histories
• Educate patients on post-operative care
• Maintain cleanliness and operatory efficiency

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday 8-4:30p
• No Fridays or Weekends

Qualifications

• Current Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Tennessee
• Radiology Certification
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification
• Open Dental Experience (a plus but not required)
• Ability to work independently on delegated procedures
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment
