Expediter II

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.

Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating, processing, and monitoring material and parts coming through the Repair Depot. Expedites depot hardware to meet customer demands and requirements. Develops progress or schedule reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates with Depot Management, Depot Engineers, Quality and Production to expedite material movements.
  • Maintains and updates files providing information on critical material.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing and Shipping to expedite depot material to vendors.
  • Expedites movement of parts through Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, Packaging, and Stockroom.
  • May be required to operate a company vehicle to pick up critical parts from distributors/vendors when authorized.
  • Responds to routine and non-routine verbal and written requests for information from internal sources.
  • Provides training and direction to less experienced staff.
  • Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company.
  • Expected to maintain productive and safe working environment in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications

  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years experience. Must demonstrate full knowledge of expediting principles and concepts.
  • Must possess:
    • The ability to understand new concepts quickly.
    • Strong organization skills.
    • The ability to identify issues and interpret data.
    • Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for accurate documentation and reporting.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.
