Wood has been awarded an Onshore Brownfield project to support an International Client operation for delivering FEED, Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning Services. This project focuses on enhancing degassing stations, optimizing flare systems, and integrating low-carbon solutions to support our client’s energy transition and emissions reduction goals.

Key Objectives

Responsible for monitoring, coordinating and ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipments within the project schedule or/ purchase order terms. This role involves close collaboration with Suppliers, vendors, logistics providers and internal stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Creation of daily expediting reports in materials management system.
  • Daily desk expediting of purchase orders. Review purchase orders and project requirements to identify critical delivery timelines.
  • Understands the supplier delivery obligations form the terms and conditions of purchase.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely submission of documents, production, dispatch, and delivery of goods.
  • Ability to interpret supplier production plans to identify improvement opportunities and negotiate delivery improvements. Identify and escalate potential supply chain risks or bottlenecks and propose mitigation actions
  • Updating of materials management system with the expediting status of Purchase Orders.
  • Continually set expediting follow up dates in materials management system.
  • Issue expediting progress reports and update system accordingly.
  • Notifying Senior Expediter / Supply Chain Manager of any potential schedule slippages.
  • Maintain an audit file of all relevant expediting documentation for each purchase order in relevant shared drive / area.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and quality/safety standards.
  • Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviors.
  • Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework

Expected:

  • Qualified to ISCED Level 4/5 (Post-Secondary non-tertiary/Short-Cycle tertiary).

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years expediting experience delivering results
  • Detailed knowledge of Suppliers and Expediting Status Reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of international procurement, logistics, and shipping practices (Incoterms, customs regulations, etc.).
  • Awareness of supplier production schedules
  • Understanding of how terms and conditions of purchase influence delivery requirements

Experience of:

  • Previous use of ERP’s such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP.

Ability to:

  • Work under pressure to meet deadlines
