Job Title: Expeditor – Restaurant

About the Role

A well-reputed restaurant is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Expeditor to ensure smooth coordination between the kitchen and service staff. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining timely food delivery, order accuracy, and service quality, ensuring an excellent dining experience for guests.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary link between kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth order flow
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders to maintain service standards
• Verify order accuracy, presentation, and completeness before dispatch
• Communicate clearly with chefs and waitstaff regarding order status and special requests
• Monitor kitchen workflow to ensure efficiency and coordination
• Assist in maintaining quality control and plating standards
• Handle priority orders and resolve delays or service issues proactively
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards
• Support the team during peak hours to maintain service speed and accuracy
• Maintain a clean and organized expediting area

Requirements

• Proven experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment (experience as an expeditor is preferred)
• Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food service flow
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
• Team player with a proactive and problem-solving approach
• Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Food Expeditor or Kitchen Coordinator
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Experience working in high-volume or fine-dining restaurant environments
• Familiarity with POS systems and order management processes
