Position Overview
The Expeditor I – Fusion Division plays a vital role in ensuring the timely flow of materials and components to support DDI’s Fusion production line. This position serves as the communication link between purchasing, suppliers, and production to minimize material shortages, prevent delays, and maintain efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery dates, expedite shipments, and resolve delays.
- Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Receiving to address material shortages or scheduling conflicts.
- Update and maintain accurate order and delivery status within the ERP system.
- Track open orders, identify potential risks to production schedules, and proactively communicate updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support supplier communications regarding late deliveries, discrepancies, or order changes.
- Partner with the Fusion production team to prioritize material needs and support just-in-time delivery.
- Collaborate with Receiving and Quality teams to resolve non-conformance or documentation issues.
- Generate and maintain reports on supplier performance, open orders, and expedite actions for management review.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain and production operations.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 1–2 years in a manufacturing, purchasing, or expediting role (semiconductor or electronics industry preferred).
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (experience with Syspro a plus).
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
