EXPERIENCED Administrative Assistant & Vet Tech Support for High Volume Spay-Neuter Clinic

The Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County is a shelter-free non-profit organization that focuses on preventive programs, primarily high quality low-cost spay-neuter services to end suffering, overpopulation & euthanasia of companion animals in our community. Additionally, we offer a pet food bank and re-tail store to help pet owners better afford their furry family members. If you share our passion for this mission, read on!

Prior experience in a veterinary clinic or humane society setting is highly desired, but you may still be a good fit if you meet the following criteria:

1) love to stay busy & are able to work independently with little instruction

2) have excellent verbal & written communication skills

3) are a multi-tasker that thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environment

4) are very comfortable working with Microsoft Office, computers & technology in general

5) able to control emotional expressions and remain poised and focused even in difficult situations

In this position, your primary responsibilities will include:

* communication with the public through phone calls, emails & in-office interactions

* scheduling spay-neuter appointments, donation drop-offs , retail pickups, etc.

* printing, organizing & finalizing surgery paperwork & medical charts

* accounts receivable & invoicing for the clinic

* light cleaning of office spaces, laundry, inventorying/sorting incoming donations, decorating for holidays, etc.

* driving company vehicle to pick up or drop off donations

* cross training in other areas of operations including pet food bank (some heavy lifting required), retail store organization & sales, and in-clinic support like cleaning instruments, animal handling, vaccinating, etc.

Clinic office hours are four days per week Monday-Thursday from 7:15am-5:15pm, which will be your set hours. (Yep, a 3-day weekend every week!). There may be opportunities for extra hours on Fridays & Saturdays between 9am-2pm from time to time to assist with retail store, pet food bank or other extra projects if interested.

Hourly wage based on experience.
