Experienced Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Barista to join our team at both our Long Beach and Los Alamitos location. Canidate must have a minimum of one year Barista / espresso experience. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, craft high-quality coffee and beverages, and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in food and beverage preparation, POS operations, and retail service within a vibrant café setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and consistency.
• Operate POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation and serving areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including serving baked goods or light snacks.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction.
• Uphold food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
• Support team members in maintaining a clean, organized café environment.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience or food service background preferred; experience with coffee industry standards is a plus.
• Basic knife and cooking skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Clover and Homebase a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and making accurate change.
• Knowledge of food safety, food handling, and serving standards in a café or retail environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
