Experienced Barista – Specialty Coffee (Jalsah Coffee, LA)

Jalsah Coffee is a new specialty coffee shop bringing the rich tradition of Yemeni coffee to Los Angeles. We’re rooted in quality, culture, and community—creating a space where people connect over exceptional coffee.

We’re looking for experienced baristas who are passionate about coffee, take pride in their craft, and can thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare high-quality espresso and coffee drinks, including traditional Yemeni coffee, with consistency and care

• Operate and maintain coffee equipment (grinders, espresso machines, brewers)

• Provide warm, knowledgeable customer service, including answering menu questions

• Handle transactions accurately using POS systems

• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow food safety protocols

• Support teammates and contribute to smooth daily operations

Requirements:

• Barista experience in a specialty or high-volume coffee shop

• Strong customer service skills and a genuine love for hospitality

• Comfort with multitasking in a busy setting

• Curiosity about global coffee traditions—interest in Yemeni coffee is a plus!

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
